singing diary
Singing in Lakeland, 3rd time in this place. Lovely people; great acoustics. Looking at my notes of what I did the first & second time, I see that I repeated half the first program at the second occasion. Today I want to deliver a new program, apart from perhaps 2 or 3 ‘old’ items that are a must.
I’ve decided to focus on the story of Moses, while starting of with ‘In the eye of the storm’, song about Noah. I set the scene and sing the song. People are enjoying it. The story of Moses follows; it’s such a huge and amazing story- I struggle to keep it tight, and succeed, I think. For today: 4 story parts, followed by (4) songs. I have 7 songs relating to the Moses story. Eventually I want to do all 7 songs, preceded by story. (Won’t be long now before I deliver the whole thing.)
I end today’s ’story-concert’ with ‘In His way of being’, great story song about Jesus, and ‘Touch Eternity’; both songs are in the ‘must do’ department. ‘Aaron’s Blessing’ to finish off with.
Most faces are by now familiar faces; precious people who really have come to hear me tell & sing. They love my work; or should I say: they love the Holy Spirit. Several members of staff have sat through the whole 75 minutes; I can tell, they’ve enjoyed it along with the residents. What a privilege to perform/ minister at this place. (April 22nd) I look forward to the next time!
